Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
These terms govern your use of Slate, a product of Digital Windows. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
The service
Slate is an AI-powered creative pipeline. We provide the platform; you provide the API keys and creative direction. The quality and accuracy of AI-generated content depends on the underlying models (Anthropic Claude, Google Imagen) and your inputs.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You must not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without permission.
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Your content
You own the content you create in Slate. By using the service you grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your briefs, scripts, storyboards, or any output.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Slate to:
- Generate content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform.
- Resell or redistribute access to the service without written permission.
API costs
You are responsible for any costs incurred with third-party AI providers (Anthropic, Google) through API keys connected to your account. Slate is not liable for unexpected API charges.
Availability
We aim to keep Slate running but do not guarantee uptime. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. During the beta period the service is provided as-is without warranty.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Digital Windows shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Slate.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of Slate after changes means you accept the updated terms.
