Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Slate is built by Digital Windows. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.
What we collect
- Account data — your username and a hashed version of your password. We never store passwords in plain text.
- Project data — briefs, scripts, storyboards, and other content you create inside Slate. This is stored on our servers and is only accessible to your account.
- API keys — if you provide an Anthropic or Google API key, it is stored encrypted and is never returned in full to the browser.
- Usage data — token counts and estimated costs per project, used to power the usage dashboard inside the app.
What we don't collect
- We do not collect payment information directly (handled by Stripe when billing is live).
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not use your briefs, scripts, or creative content for training AI models.
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking scripts on the app.
Third-party services
Slate sends your prompts to Anthropic's Claude API and optionally to Google's Imagen API on your behalf, using API keys you provide. Your use of these services is subject to their respective privacy policies. We do not store raw API responses beyond what is saved to your project.
Data storage
Your data is stored on Railway infrastructure in the EU. We take reasonable measures to protect it but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at info@digital-windows.co.uk.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Continued use of Slate after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
